Summer activity ideas: 5 things to do with your littles
School's almost out! Looking for affordable ways to keep your little ones occupied this summer? We've put together a list of activities to do.
Hi! How are you all?
Its that time again Summer Holidays, 6 weeks of finding things to do to entertain the little people.
Entertaining the kiddies is not an easy task throughout the summer holidays. We always find we start the break with great intentions, then by the end of it we’re stuck for inspiration.
That's why, we thought we’d plan ahead this time and blog about some ideas for both at home and out exploring, after all we never know when we are going to get 'pinged'
Have the beat break and stay safe

5 Things to do With Our Littles This Summer
Enjoy these activities together and let us know what you thought of them.

1. Seaside Fun
If you are lucky enough to live by the beach make a day of it. Top tip would be to take some shelter from the sun, such as a sun shelter as its promising to be a fabulous summer full of sunshine. Pack a picnic and your favourite Popsy and Mama shortie dungs and head to the sea.
Don't forget a bucket and spade and of course the best type of stick to make a flag.

1.5 Woodland Wonders
Now we know not everyone can get to the beach for us in-landers we have to look for adventure in the parks and woodlands nearer to us. Why not try a teddy bear picnic in the woods? Or maybe pooh sticks in the streams and rivers. You could always look for a gruffalo or even make a special treasure hunt.

2. Fun Fair Favourites
Is there a fun fair near you? There might well be and they can be a super simple but incredibly fun day who doesn't love fun fair food?
The dodgems are a firm favourite in our house. I have to say that the dodgem boats that Louis is on below look very cool.

3. National Trust Days
Check out your local National Trust they hold all kinds of activities for the family to enjoy. Its a fun and usually educational day. If you go to one with a garden try taking a minibeast explorers kit with you its a great way to discover the wonders of the insect world.

4. Fun in the Garden
Hopefully it won‘t come to this but some of us might end up getting pinged and having to isolate. Maybe you just need to chill and do something at home to take a breath. Waterbombs are great fun. There is a great DIY chalk bomb idea.
Use a clean soap-dispenser pump to fill water balloons with a washable chalk-paint mixture (1 cup of water, 2 tablespoons of corn-starch, and a few drops of food colouring). Have your littles draw targets on the ground with chalk or just let them go wild. Fire away!
If that's a little too messy for some, you could use objects around the house and garden like hoops or skipping ropes to make an obstacle course.
Of course you could just enjoy the fun of a paddling pool or the increasingly popular slip and slide. Our Brand Rep Franklyn and his beautiful family have been having the best time on one recently.

5. Strawberry Picking
This is one of my all time favourite British things to do. I'm also so shocked at the number of people that haven't been. So if you have NEVER done strawberry picking please make this summer the time you go. It’s such a fun activity that ends with a punit of sweet treats (don't forget to try one on the way round.) If you get carried away why not give Jam making a go!

We hope you have the best summer, we definitely all deserve it after the last year we have had. Enjoy all the moments you can with your loved ones and soak up that sun this is Costa Del England after all who knows how long it will stay.
